Viewers of It’s Showtime have become accustomed to watching Bobet Vidanes in front of the camera when he was still the director of ABS-CBN’s noontime show.
This happened again when he moved on as the creative producer of Lunch Out Loud, the noontime show of TV5 that was the counterpart of the program from which he came.
Yesterday, October 11, was Bobet’s 56th birthday so the LOL hosts called him on stage to greet and ask for a message for his birthday.
LOL is a variety show but it became a real-life drama program yesterday because of Bobet’s unexpected crying.
He spoke for the first time about his departure from It’s Showtime and moving to the noontime program of TV5 and Brightlight Productions.
Health was one of the reasons given by Bobet for its departure from It’s Showtime. According to him, his work is no longer healthy and it may cause him to die early.
“Isa pa po sa main reason kung bakit ako naghanap ng ibang buhay, ito po totoo ‘to, pinili ko po yung health, yung kalusugan.
“Kasi po, yung pagtatrabaho ko sa kabila, hindi na po healthy. Mamamatay po ako nang maaga.
“Ang ganda ng programa, pero it’s not healthy anymore.
“To make it short lang, I’m here sa Lunch Out Loud or any program, no pressure. I am happy now,”
The former director of It’s Showtime denied the news back then that money was the reason he left the company and program that the loved dearly.
“It’s not about the money na sinasabi niyo. It’s about help.
“I hope po na naiintindihan niyo. Sana po sarado na tayo doon, it’s my health. It’s not healthy anymore.
“Pero sobrang mahal ko po yung kompanyang ‘yan. Sobrang mahal ko yung programa na ‘yan.”
